Graphic Designer at Milo Enterprises Inc. (2015)
Milo Enterprises Inc. has been recently ranked as one of Canada’s fastest growing companies in the PROFIT 500 and is lead by two young entrepreneurs. Previously mostly operating online, they were introducing their pest control products at the retail stores all over North America. It was a challenging and exciting opportunity for me as a recent grad.
At Milo Enterprises, I have had an opportunity to:
Lead a team of two graphic designers, managing delivery and performing quality control
of all materials, including all copy;
Conceptualize & design marketing and promotional materials: color and mailing boxes, user manuals, banners and flyers;
Perform promotional product photography in-house and on-location.
School Photographer at Lifetouch Inc. (2014)
Lifetouch is the giant of school photography in North America. Although my previous photography experience was helpful, the main focus of the job was in communication with children as well as the school administration.
For a full season of school photography at Lifetouch I have:
Efficiently framed, positioned and photographed hundreds of children;
Effectively communicated with school administration;
Provided daily reports and documentation.
Freelance Graphic Designer in Vancouver, BC (2012-2014)
After moving to Vancouver at the end of 2010 and graduating from BCIT’s Graphic Design program in 2012, I spent a few years taking care of my infant son and doing various graphic design gigs, locally and remotely:
Designed a variety of print media for a local theater production company, such as posters, a Georgia Straight newspaper ad, programs, Facebook and e-mail ads, resulting in a successful promotion;
Designed a vinyl wall decal for a private hydro company successfully visualizing the renewable energy theme, requested by the client;
Conceptualized, designed and illustrated an agenda planner and series of self-help books for Marina Ozerova, the founder of a popular Russian online parenting resource.
Freelance Photographer in Moscow, Russia (2005-2010)
Thanks to my range of skills and a vast professional network in Moscow, I was able to hold many exciting photography positions over the years.
I would like to mention these highlights:
Together with the Tourism Committee of Republic of Abkhazia I travelled throughout the country to create a photo bank to be used at the official website as well as online and in print. We worked on various locations and subjects (i.e. mountain hiking expeditions, tourist attractions, interviews, celebrations, hotels, restaurants etc.);
As a photo reporter I have covered different festivals, social events, sporting events and concerts for a number of clients, including the Red Keds Creative Agency, Adrenaline Games Extreme Sports Festival;
Worked with magazines such as Afisha Moscow, STORY, Psychologies Russia to produce
editorials, such as fashion, architecture, portraits;
Worked as a photographer on two TV reality shows for SKCG Moscow, created and maintained an extensive database of photos. Corresponded with a team of reporters and provided them with material to illustrate their interviews.
