From the age of five, I was a reader.
At fifteen, having just moved to Canada from Russia, I picked up my first film camera. I was sixteen when I had my first solo photo exhibition — at my high school, Burnaby South.
At twenty I did a slight detour back to Russia and spent the next eight years being a photographer based in Moscow. Weddings, fashion, product photography, concerts, mountain expeditions, and reality shows — you name it.
Returning to Vancouver at twenty-nine, I embarked on a new creative path, graduating from BCIT's Graphic Design program. Working with both images and words lead me to realize the power of meaning behind the visuals, so Marketing and I have had a happily ever after since.
In my free time, I am advocating for the Historic Joy Kogawa House on the web, writing a memoir and raising two happy boys.
